MY approach
I BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF ASHTANGA YOGA TO HELP PEOPLE LIVE JOYFULLY & FREE
The essence of my teaching lies in a combination of compassion and systematic planning in order to bring out the best of both the practitioner and the practice. Balance is vital to the process of yoga so working smart is just has important as working hard, paying attention to our inner state is just as important as our physical body and being creative whilst being true to the tradition is the key in formulating an effective and accessible journey.

There are several ways which you can practice with me, in-person or online, live or on demand, at a class or intensive in my shala, a workshop abroad or annual retreat. If you would like help deciding which is best for your needs feel free to reach out for advice.

Meet Yan
Yoga is universal and everyone deserves a healthy happy life no matter our background or starting point. Using Ashtanga Yoga as a tool for self betterment, my mission is to help you feel free and light both in body and mind .
I know what it is like to struggle physically and feel lost emotionally. I have personally practiced Ashtanga yoga practice with herniated discs, joint injuries, Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, multiple rounds of IVF, pregnancy and more. My personal struggles help me have both compassion and first hand knowledge to teach this wonderful and powerful practice to others. Having healed myself and many others over the past 2 decades is what drives my passion to help you do the same.
